Surviving Spirit

Should light disappear
And darkness reign
Should stars lose altitude
And all planets doomed
Should life be consumed
And all hells break loose
On this, darkest of days
As long as you're in my heart,
I will survive

Should death pound my door
And strip my life away
Should my heart be compelled to stop
As I am robbed of my senses
Should forever my eyes close
As solitude claims my world
On this, most unthinkable of moments
As long as you're in my heart,
I will survive
Rapadoo,

  2. I'm glad you think so. I find this one too simple and a little bit cliche. Like something that people have been saying since the middle ages. thank you for your visit and comment.

  3. I love poems written from someone's heart. I like to sense emotion and passion when reading a poem. When they are too complex, you can't feel or sense what the author is trying to relate.

  4. You're right, If you can't understand the poem, it's pointless. But since poems are open to interpretations, readers can assign different meanings to them. I really appreciate your interest and willingness to comment.
    Thank you.
